Hey yalllll! So I'm about to head in for hip replacement number two. 🤦♂️ My last gig in Myrtle will be this Friday, 9/6, at Lulus. Then I'll be in Florida doing my final few shows in Fernandina Beach. I'm going in for my next operation on 9/19, then my target to return is 10/25, again at Lulus. If that feels too soon my next attempt will be 10/29 at Dead Dog Saloon.
Also coming soon will be the premier of a band I've been working on over the last year! We would have been ready sooner but my hips threw a wrench in that. Lol. What's the saying? Man plans, God laughs? Lol. Also one of the members just had a baby so it's progressing exactly as it should. I'm hoping to play our first show on Thanksgiving Eve, For Thanksgiving EvEmo Night!
This is a specific niche band. We'll be hosting emo nights around the Grand strand. If you dont know the music that entails, it may not be the show for you. Lol. However, you might be surprised at how many of the songs you know and might enjoy. I've got an awesome lineup of musicians, splitting vocals with another excellent vocalist, to put on one hell of a show. With excellent sound, professionalism, and production value. Even more so down the road a bit when we get our light show going. Well be playing songs mostly from the 00-10 era of emo, screamo, punk, pop punk, and even some metal and a few other fun surprises. Songs from bands such as My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Thrice, Bayside, and much more!
Also working on putting together another niche group. A Dave Matthews Tribute Band. That will be a little further down the road. But hoping to play at least a few times in 2025. Have another premium line up of ridiculous musicians for that. Including Sax 🎷 and Fiddle 🎻.
All of that is awesome, and I'm excited for all of it, including my final surgery. Lol. But I think what I'm MOST excited about, is I'm in the final stages of releasing my debut solo record that I've been working on for a few years now! Just need to hire a few more musicians to record the instruments that I can't play and it's ready for the final mix and master. I have the parts written and recorded with plug ins, but I want to have the real thing. Hoping to have that ready for a spring release.
I'll keep updating as more things progress. Thank you all for your patience and your constant support. It means the world. And I'm look forward to big things in 2025. And some fresh hips! And when I recover, I'm goin dancin! Lol.
With love,
~Jimmy 💕🤘
